Proverbs 10:9-10
9 He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.

2 Corinthians 8:20-21
20 We are avoiding this, that any man should blame us concerning this abundance which is administered by us.
21 Having regard for honourable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
Proverbs is plain: the one who walks in integrity walks securely. Not because life becomes easy, but because there is less hidden. A crooked path must always watch its own back.
Paul, organising a collection, shows integrity in practice. He is careful to avoid blame in how money is administered. He does not rely on good intentions alone. He wants what is honourable not only in the Lord’s sight, but also in the sight of others. Transparency, here, is not cynicism; it is love that refuses to give suspicion an easy foothold.
Public trust is repaired in the same way: by small faithfulness repeated until it becomes a habit. Clear records. Honest speech. The courage to say, ‘This is how it was handled’, without defensiveness. The humility to welcome scrutiny as protection for the vulnerable.
Lord Jesus, make us people of straight paths. Give to those who manage funds, contracts, and decisions a holy carefulness that honours the truth and guards the weak. Teach your Church to live without double-lives: to confess quickly, to correct humbly, and to do what is right even when no applause follows. Let integrity become, in our common life, a quiet form of peace, and a seed of trust.
